Dubai Expo City Visitor Parking Lot Marking
Mark a 3,800-bay surface parking lot at the legacy Expo 2020 site (now Expo City Dubai) ahead of its reopening as a permanent visitor destination. The lot required EV, accessibility and family zones plus wayfinding colour coding, with all work completed before opening weekend.
The Challenge
Mark a 3,800-bay surface parking lot at the legacy Expo 2020 site (now Expo City Dubai) ahead of its reopening as a permanent visitor destination. The lot required EV, accessibility and family zones plus wayfinding colour coding, with all work completed before opening weekend.
Our Solution
Engineered a phased marking programme splitting the 3,800-bay lot into 6 sectors. Used solvent-based acrylic line paint with preformed thermoplastic symbols at bay entries for high-traffic durability. Layout included 96 EV bays, 124 accessibility bays and a green family zone near the visitor entrance.
Execution
Surface was swept, blown and primed where required. Two crews worked in parallel sectors applying 3,800 bay lines, 96 EV bay boxes with green corner detailing, accessibility symbols, and pedestrian walkways with anti-skid hatch. Final as-built was verified by total-station survey against RTA parking standards.
