Dammam King Abdul Aziz Port Container Terminal Marking
Mark lane segregation, hazard zones, RTG crane runways and pedestrian routes across a 15,800 m² container terminal at King Abdul Aziz Port, Dammam. The terminal operated 24/7 with straddle carriers and reach stackers, requiring marking that could withstand heavy container-handling equipment traffic without halting operations.
The Challenge
Mark lane segregation, hazard zones, RTG crane runways and pedestrian routes across a 15,800 m² container terminal at King Abdul Aziz Port, Dammam. The terminal operated 24/7 with straddle carriers and reach stackers, requiring marking that could withstand heavy container-handling equipment traffic without halting operations.
Our Solution
Specified a heavy-duty polyurea line system rated for straddle-carrier wheel loads, with high-visibility yellow lane segregation, red hazard zones around crane bases, and white pedestrian walkways with anti-skid surface. All work was scheduled around vessel-call windows with no impact on container handling.
Execution
Water-jetted and profiled asphalt to CSP-4, applied polyurea lines via airless striper, and installed preformed thermoplastic hazard chevrons at crane-base zones. A total of 15,800 m² was marked across 12 zones with sub-2-hour reopening per zone, plus 4.2 km of pedestrian walkway with anti-skid surface.

“We cannot stop a container terminal. Gulf Seismic's 12-zone phasing meant we never turned away a vessel — exceptional planning.”
